In this assignment, I decided to focus on Nature. I took pictures in my backyard about the time the sun was setting (it was kinda cloudy). I learned that there are so many different things you can capture, so it was hard picking just 10. Exposure Triangle: f4.0- 1/40
For editing, I turned the saturation up by 10.

For this assignment, we took a former students photo in photoshop and took out some of the distracting factors that made you not focus on the car. Working in photoshop can be very difficult but we are learning more about how to use each tool and how to take out people and light that distract the people viewing the picture.
In this assignment, I took pictures of my friend and different things at the powderpuff football game. It was an interesting experience because I tried to take pictures only if i could see them in black and white. I wish I hadn't done that because I feel like I could have gotten some more interesting pictures. Exposure Triangle: For editing in this photo, I turned the saturation all the way down in Lightroom to -100. In this assignment, we used all sorts of different settings on Photoshop to create popart. We can either use a picture of ourselves or a picture of someone else. I decided to use a picture of my friend, Emily. I learned how to put filters on images, how to use guides, how to resize the canvas, how to adjust the threshold dialog, and how to move layers.
In this assignment, I focused on people. I took pictures of my friend Emily at the lake across the street from my house. I took many pictures expressing Emily's emotions and I loved it. I learned that there are many different ways you can take pictures of people and how to make them fill the frame and express different things in the photos. This picture is straight out of the camera and I did not edit it in Lightroom at all.
For this photo assignment, i will be focusing on portraits of people. I like to take pictures of people and different subjects in pictures so I hope I can improve in taking pictures of people.
Some inspiration I have found is: Photo Example Photo Example 2 These examples are good because it has the person as the main subject (Fill the Frame) and it shows personality of the person. Both pictures are different from each other and I like how it expresses the mood. This assignment was to explore 11 different composition techniques and shoot several different examples of each technique. After shooting several examples, we picked our favorite pictures that we took of each technique. Below are the 11 pictures! I learned even more about composition techniques in pictures. I also learned camera basics and even how to edit a picture on Lightroom. I also learned how you can take several pictures of one object and you can get pictures you like and pictures you absolutely hate.

I took this class because i enjoy taking pictures and learning new skills. I have some experience going into this class because I took multimedia in 8th grade. I can't wait to take more pictures and learn even more this year. :) |
